*all the screenshots below have been provided by the victims of these scammers who have shared them with us

  1. Contacting you with the fake job offer; Scammers target job seekers through ads, emails, and messages on platforms like WhatsApp, Indeed, and Linkedin, promising quick earnings for simple tasks.
  1. Dedicating you a “trainer” for a job; In the case of the scammers who used the Netrocket brand, two names of “trainers” appeared: Amelia and Leanna Bayin.
  1. Adding you to the group with the other victims, to gain more trust;
  1. Offering a remote job represents that it’s pretty easy, and you should create an account on their platform to be able to “work”;
  1. Not explaining the truth about the process, especially that you are required to send advance $ to them from your own bank account to clear overdrafts the scammers create with hopes of getting your advance $ back as they have confirmed;
  2. The Trap: Victims are urged to pay a “refundable” fee for access to higher-paying tasks. The initial payments for minor tasks create a false sense of security. The scammers then vanish, taking the money with them.
  1. Then silently stealing your money;

All the screenshots above were provided by this woman who sadly fell into the trap of these scammers and then found our official social media and wrote to our CEO Daniel Dramshev.

Recently, it even took a new wave.

They are reaching out not only to people who are seeking additional income or a new job but also to business owners, struggling with promoting their business, offering “free services” to help them.

So scammers can reach out to you in different ways to put you on the hook.

After they took what they wanted, people desperately tried to find any source to report and get their money back. Finding the real social media of our company and trying to contact any possible team member.

Other screenshots are from people, who fell into the trap of these scammers, and after realizing that, were desperately trying to find any source to report it.

The main mistake: verifying the company should have been done before investing any money. Afterward, only cyber police can help you with the consequences.

⬇️ What Should Be Paid Attention To

The scammers that are using the Netrocket brand are working with a similar scheme. Remember, any legitimate company has a few steps of the interview.

The first one would be with video call with HR, the next one is a video call with the HR and the manager of the department to qualify your professionalism and to check the compatibility. These steps may vary depending on the company and industry, some steps may also include test tasks, technical interviews, etc.

But the main point is simple: the people who are reaching out to you with a job offer that will require only 1 hour a day of your time with provided “training” – it’s a scam. Especially without a face-to-face interview.

What else can you do to identify the scam? Let’s start from the basics.

  1. Check the domain – The one and only official website of Netrocket is netrocket.pro. Any other domain even with the similar content as we have on the website – it’s a scam. In the screenshot below you can find our official appealings to CNCERT and ICANN – with the list of the fraudulent domains that copied Netrocket’s website.
  1. Check the website content – the next step is to check the website as a whole. Always pay attention not only to the domain but to the website interface, etc. Usually, scammers copy the websites, and in the first place you may not see much difference,  but still, they keep them pretty “raw”. Here’s how to differentiate:
  • One of the scam websites that copied Netrocket’s content with the domain netr0cket.com looks like this:

Not much difference, right? They can do anything to make you feel that you are dealing with a trustworthy company.

And last, but definitely not least:

  1. Check the official social media of the company – let’s think reasonably: recruiters nowadays are using social media platforms like Linkedin to find prospective candidates.

But: they are not only reaching out to them through private messages, they are also posting vacancies on their page.

So, to sum it up: before getting involved in any job, that especially requires any investments – check all the possible sources to make sure you are speaking with the real company and the real team members.

If you have any doubts, you can always ask yourself: why do they not have any interviews for this job and just training? Or how does a digital marketing company have any relation to the cryptocurrency schemes? – Answering these questions, you’ll immediately realize that the offered job – is a scam.

Now, let’s move forward.

🚩 Why Did They Choose Netrocket Brand for Their Fraudulent Schemes?

Besides the harm they cause to the businesses the content they use, it is not their primary intention.

Scammers are usually trying to copy trustworthy websites and use their content and links to their real social media to gain more trust from the potential victims they haunting.

It is easier to trap people, referring to a real company.

This scheme isn’t new, we found a lot of info about Pig Butchering, or even organizations that help the victims to recover money after Job & Task Scams. In a lot of cases – still one meaning: these kind of schemes works through fake job advertisements or cold approaches, posing as employees for people looking for a new job or to earn some extra money.

Netrocket is not the only company that faces that kind of situation. Scammers clone legitimate websites to dupe job seekers and harm brand reputation.
