The client contacted us in February 2024 with the goal of increasing traffic and, accordingly, conversions on the site.
The client commenced the promotional efforts with a completely new website that featured poor design and lacked any content. Initially, we focused on ensuring that the design changes were implemented correctly from an SEO perspective. We always make sure to start with technical SEO or align our strategy to the CMS the clients are using. Would it be Shopify or WordPress SEO services—we can do it all. We provided our recommendations and monitored their execution.
Additionally, the website included several language versions, specifically German for Switzerland, English for Switzerland, French for Switzerland, and French for France. A separate domain was purchased for English aimed at the UK.
The client independently selected the priority languages and countries for promotion, which presented a challenge as these priorities frequently changed. As a result, we worked with multiple languages and countries at different times.

Execution/Optimization Process
During the audit, some problems were identified on the site:
- design imperfections;
- URL structure;
- hreflang tags absence;
- configuration of language versions;
- internal linking absence;
After a certain period, these problems were solved.
In the initial phase of our work, we conducted a competitive and niche analysis and prepared recommendations regarding the optimal SEO strategies to surpass competitors.
Following this, we began to prepare for the next tasks.
As we commenced our work, the client also started redesigning the website. We did everything possible to ensure that the design changes proceeded smoothly and would not lead to future ranking issues. We provided recommendations for the design modifications and monitored their proper implementation by the client.
In addition, we conducted a comprehensive technical audit, during which we discovered that the website lacked a logical URL structure, and the language versions were improperly implemented. We issued recommendations for configuring the language versions and implementing hreflang tags; however, the client encountered technical difficulties that hindered the correct execution of our suggestions. As a result, URL changes were prolonged, and we could not begin work on link building.
The work on on-page SEO began with the search and analysis of semantics for the pages provided by the client. For each cluster, we prepared meta tags and specifications, which included recommendations for structure, internal linking, and more.
In the last month of our collaboration, we proposed developing a standard template for all pages, which the client could subsequently use to independently create content for almost any page.
The client promptly created content on their end, which significantly impacted our results, as our specifications were executed on time.
As previously mentioned, we regrettably could not initiate link building due to the client’s technical issues with implementing a proper URL structure, which were constantly changing.
